Sexual energy is a vortex of power like none other. At its most exalted, sex is nothing short of evidence of our God-like status. Entrusted with the power to create life and blessed with the ability to breathe healing and vitality into the heart and soul of a lover, we are bestowed with a beautiful and glorious gift. Our desire for sexual bonding illuminates our need to immerse ourselves with that which lies beyond our individual selves. The loss of separation entered into during sex—the tangling and twisting of legs and limbs, saliva and sweat, is reminiscent of the one time in our live where merging was absolute. It is about as close as we will ever come to returning to the oneness that existed for us while still in the womb. As such, sexual union can be likened to return to a source energy. It is the deepest affirmation of life there is.
